Therapy - NLP
NLP stands for neurolinguistic programming. This slightly scary sounding title is simply about understanding human behaviour in a very practical way. For instance, the idea that all behaviour is simply made up of strategies of getting our needs met.
Some strategies however are misguided and counter-productive, and need to be updated. NLP also includes a series of techniques to help change the strategies, and other unhelpful ways we have of perceiving the world.
Because some NLP techniques are very practical practical, they can incredibly fast and seem quite dramatic.
NLP has been heavily influenced by hypnosis, and has been made famous in the media from its use by Paul McKenna and Derren Brown.
